Mike Handley is a fifth-generation Salinas Valley native and the second-generation broker of Town ’N Country Realty, a boutique real estate and property management firm founded by his father in 1977. With more than 25 years of experience in sales, leasing, and asset management, Mike continues the family legacy with a modern, no-nonsense approach built on integrity, results, and local knowledge.

A graduate of California State Universtiy, Fresno with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Real Estate & Urban Land Economics, Mike has earned a reputation as a trusted consultant to property owners, investors, and developers across the Central Coast. His expertise spans single-family, multifamily, and commercial assets—along with deep experience in 1031 exchanges, seller financing, and value-add repositioning strategies.

Under Mike’s leadership, Town ’N Country Realty has been recognized by the Monterey Herald as the “Best Property Management Company in the Salinas Valley.” He is known for his pragmatic insight, advocacy for property owners, and his commitment to elevating professionalism within the industry.

Beyond the business, Mike is driven by family, community, and legacy—honoring the values that have anchored his family in the Salinas Valley for generations while building a forward-thinking brokerage that blends technology, accountability, and old-school service.

Office Manager – Town ‘N Country Property Management

Colleen Kidd has been part of the Town ‘N Country family since 2006 and plays an essential role in keeping our office running smoothly. With a background as a legal assistant and property manager, she brings a wealth of experience and a meticulous eye for detail to everything she does.

Colleen oversees the daily operations of Town ‘N Country Property Management and is known for her steady leadership, organization, and genuine care for both property owners and tenants. Over the years, she’s built lasting relationships with clients who trust her to look after their properties as if they were her own.

When she’s not in the office, you’ll often find Colleen running, working out, or spending time with her family — especially enjoying every moment with her first grandson.

Property Manager

Liz Gonzalez began her career in property management in 2010 and joined Town ’N Country Realty in 2016. With over a decade of experience, she has become an integral part of our property management team, known for her professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication to client satisfaction.

Liz takes great pride in guiding applicants and tenants through every step of the rental process — from the initial application to move-in, and even helping families transition into larger homes as their needs evolve. She works closely with our maintenance and inspection teams to ensure properties are well cared for, and she maintains open communication with both owners and tenants to resolve issues efficiently.

In addition to her daily management responsibilities, Liz oversees rent collection and ensures smooth day-to-day operations across our portfolio. She earned her California Real Estate License in 2023, further expanding her expertise and commitment to serving our clients with excellence.

Property Services Manager

Jake Richardson was born and raised in Salinas, California, where his family roots run deep. A Salinas High graduate and former basketball player, Jake learned early the value of teamwork and accountability—qualities that have carried through his career.

Before joining Town ’N Country Property Management, Jake worked in customer service with Bank of America, where he built a reputation for being dependable, personable, and solution-driven. His approachable style and genuine care for people make him a natural fit in property management, where communication and follow-through matter most.

Jake oversees property repairs, preventive maintenance, and vendor coordination for all managed properties. He takes pride in keeping operations efficient, owners informed, and tenants comfortable—always with an eye on maintaining the high standards our clients expect.

A lifelong Monterey County resident, Jake is proud to continue his family’s legacy of service; his family owned and operated Richardson's Chevrolet on Abbott Street for several decades. For nearly 30 years, he’s also volunteered with the California Rodeo Salinas, a tradition that reflects his deep connection to the community.

Recently, Jake has developed a strong interest in real estate and is currently enrolled in coursework to obtain his real estate license—expanding his skills and commitment to the industry he’s grown passionate about.

Property Inspection Manager

Elijah Garcia is the Property Inspection Manager with Town ‘N Country Property Management Inc., where he plays a key role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the homes and investment properties under our care. Born and raised in Salinas, Elijah brings a deep understanding of the local community and a genuine commitment to serving property owners and residents with professionalism and care.

With over three years of experience in property management, Elijah oversees inspections, coordinates maintenance, and ensures each property meets our company’s high standards. Known for his sharp eye for detail and clear communication, he identifies potential issues early to help prevent costly repairs and protect owner investments. His organized, proactive approach also ensures tenants enjoy safe, comfortable, and well-maintained homes.

In addition to his property management expertise, Elijah is a licensed Realtor® with our sister company, Town ‘N Country Realty, allowing him to provide valuable insight into the broader real estate market. His combined experience in homeownership, remodeling, and property maintenance gives him a unique, hands-on perspective that benefits both owners and tenants alike.

Outside of work, Elijah enjoys time with family, playing golf, and supporting local sports teams — reflecting the same community pride and dedication he brings to his role every day.
